Thrive works is a counseling center located in Worcester MA. They are open Monday through Friday and the best contact information is508-409-6134. At thrive works they provide several services including psychological testing, personality, and IQ for qualify clients. At thrive works mental health treatment designed to help them work with each client that are going through life issues that are detrimental. Some of the counseling and testing provide include counseling and therapy with well trained counselors. certain test is conducted depending on the clients diagnosed. Thrive works believe in assessing and testing to better serve each client and to determine the client’s level of skills and treatment needed.

According to this client need I think this facility will benefit them due to the services provided. At thrive works each client I tested and can be paired with experienced counselors to better serve them. When texting there are many areas one which is informing treatment or a next step and supporting the client wellbeing. According to the ACA code of ethics E.2. Competence to Use and Interpret Assessment Instruments E.2.a. “Limits of Competence Counselors use only those testing and assessment services for which they have been trained and are competent. Counselors using technology-assisted test interpretations are trained in the construct being measured and the specific instrument being used prior to using its technology-based application. Counselors take reasonable measures to ensure the proper use of assessment techniques by persons under their supervision” (ACA, 2014). Counselors are to use the testing techniques if they are to ensure accurate results.

According to the state of Massachusetts law 118 states “ ''Supervised health service experience'', training at a site where health services in psychology are normally provided, with which the applicant has a formal relationship, and where the applicant is supervised at least one hour for every sixteen hours of training, at least half of which is provided by a psychologist licensed by the board who is a member of the staff of the training site. At least twenty-five per cent of the applicant's time shall be in direct client contact” (commonwealth of Massachusetts, 2021). psychologist are allowed to perform assessing and testing and are task to supervise the client for a number of times after completing the task.

Neuropsychological clinic is located in Brighton Massachusetts and are open from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm and their best contact number is 6173837804. They also provide diagnostic services for clients they serve. Each client serve will be paired with a trained counselor to collect information to begin process for a great recovery. They offer both therapy and diagnostic services to client who are referred. Prior to diagnostic they will be interviewed and are decide on case by case basis. All testing is supervised. Some services provided are neuropsychological testing assessment for clients ages 10 and up. Psychodiagnostics testing and more. According to client serve I think they will benefit from this facility due to the outstanding services provided. Due to the current client presented issue it will benefit them to focus on any underline issue that the client serv is experiencing.

According to the ACA code of ethics “E.11. Obsolete Assessment and Outdated Results Counselors do not use data or results from assessments that are obsolete or outdated for the current purpose (e.g., noncurrent versions of assessments/ instruments). Counselors make every effort to prevent the misuse of obsolete measures and assessment data by others. E.12. Assessment Construction Counselors use established scientific procedures, relevant standards, and current professional knowledge for assessment design in the development, publication, and utilization of assessment techniques (ACA, 2014). From the ACA code of ethics, it is important to inform clients of test and not to rely on them to complete it on their own unless capable of doing so. The test and assessment should be supervised. It is also important that counselors are capable of completed testing prior to commence and apply accurate data information. According to the state of Massachusetts law CMR262.2.02 “Direct Client Contact Experience. Direct, face-to-face, clinical Mental Health Counseling experience with a range of individuals, groups, couples, or families at Clinical Field Experience Sites that conforms to the Mental Health Counseling scope of practice as defined in 262 CMR 2.02: Mental Health Counseling. Such experience does not include vocational guidance services, academic school guidance counseling, industrial or organizational consulting services, teaching or conducting research’’ (Board of health, 2021). In the state of Massachusetts counselors who have direct client contact with clients and counselors will also have other experiences like individual counseling and groups, but it does not cover research.
