Communication Plan Presentation Assignment Instructions
For this assignment, you will create a presentation that outlines a plan for communication between the school and a variety of educational stakeholders. The presentation should be designed for an audience of teachers, students, parents, and community members. The presentation should include:
1. School Description (school may be real or fabricated):
a. Provide a brief description of the school and surrounding community.
b. Include information on diverse populations in the school
c. Include other relevant information (e.g. enrollment size, public opinion regarding the school)
2. Goal and Purpose of the Communication Plan:
a. Establish a goal and a purpose for this communication plan. The goal and purpose should include all stakeholder groups (parents, students, community members)
3. Historical Issues with Communication:
a. Describe historical difficulties in communicating with each group of stakeholders and how those difficulties will be avoided in the proposed plan.

4. Modes of Communication:
a. Explain how messages will be transmitted to each group of stakeholders. Explain why each mode of communication is the most appropriate.

a. Communicating with diverse family groups (e.g. single parent households, grandparent lead households, foster parent households)

a. How will crises or emergency situations be communicated to each group of stakeholders?

7. Expressing Concerns:
a. How will each group of stakeholders be encouraged to express concerns regarding the school or the communication plan?

b. A plan for responding to concerns should be included.
The presentation must follow current APA formatting standards and include a minimum of 20 slides and at least 5 references/in-text citations.
