Article Summary/Analysis

I. May submit 1-3 article summaries/analyses

II. Content:

A. Read and analyze a research article published in a scholarly speech/language journals focusing on

a type of articulation, phonology or language therapy.

1. Include:

a. Reference (APA style)

· Title

· Author(s)

· Date

· Journal

b. Method (in your own words) including description/number of subjects

c. Results (in your own words)

d. Discussion of your analysis/critique of study

III. Format (for each article)

A. Single spaced

B. Font: Times Roman/Arial/Calibri (size 11)

C. 1 -2 pages (may be front/back)

D. Organize in sections as listed above

E. No covers

IV. Grading

A. Up to 6 points possible for each summary/analysis

B. Graded for:

1. Appropriateness of choice of article(s)

2. Organization as described above

3. Thoroughness of content

4. Quality of content and analysis/discussion

C. Turned in by hand at beginning of class (4:00pm) on 12/10/18 (no late admissions accepted; no admissions accepted via email/online).

1. I am happy to answer specific questions about this project. However, please ask them in person or via email no later than 48 hours before it is due to help ensure an answer in time for the deadline. Because this is an extra credit project, please do not submit any part of this project for feedback prior to your submission on 12/10/18.
