Are Antibiotics beneficial?

I know many people who work in research departments. A medication is evaluated for several years for its efficiency in order to be FDA approved. The real question is how effective are they to our body? How are we sure that these medications entering our body are safe? What I can say is, a medication is evaluated in a lab for many years. This medication can be tested on animals, and further into the research will be given to people to evaluate its efficiency. The trial period is evaluated and possible side effects to the medication need to be reported in order for it to be FDA approved. For example, antibiotics how beneficial are they to the body? I believe antibiotics are extremely beneficial to the body in the case of an infection the body is needing help fighting. Antibiotics have decreased the amount of deaths from acute to chronic illnesses in the health care setting. Although antibiotics have done a lot of good to our body during the time of illness, researchers are now being faced with new diseases. When a person takes an antibiotic the bodies cells are recognizing it and with chronic illnesses can cause an antibiotic resistant illness, which makes things a little more complicated for the individual. Researchers are now actively working on better strains of antibiotic to help save the life of people dying because of these rare viruses. The H1N1 virus came by surprise to a lot of people, and was needed to be treated with a specific strain to accurately treat the virus.
