Establishment of the colonies with the core purpose of instilling dominance and control. Colonialism is noted to be having several effects on people, such as can lead to their death, can lead to lack/loosing of the job and businesses an individual may be owning. To date, colonialism still exists but in a more advanced form that makes it known as digital colonialism. It usually affects today the indigenous people of a particular nation where there were many factors such as discrimination on race, nationality, and many more factors (Waldron, 2018).
According to the Colten Boushie case, there is many individuals' colonialism based on the law where some people are treated better than others. "The states are frequently the primary agency thorough which the cultural relations are organized and reorganized." Form Nick, this is not observed in the court during the trial of Colten Boushie, who had been murdered by a person who, when taken to court, the caser was somewhat satisfied that being dealt with without necessarily accepting all the considerations. This shows much how most of the courts are dealing with the cases that have been presented to them, and this continues building the trust and confidence that the citizens of a particular area would have expected justice to prevail. This kind of discrimination by the justice system, where Colten was not offered the required justice raised so many questions (Hall, 2016).
In conclusion, colonialism is still prevailing because it depends on the analysis of the cases presented to those who are said to have been assaulted in courts. This kind of issue needs to be addressed at large, and people be made aware that the ones they are treating wrongly are also human beings. Also, there is a need for much more law to be implemented so that the individuals who have been found practicing it be heavily punished according to the various policies created (Hall, 2016).
