How clinical practice with undocumented immigrants’ children (mainly from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico) and families can help deal with external and internal concerns that are listed below. Also, how these concerns affect their ability to feel empowered-this impacting their sense of well-being.
External Concerns:
· Poverty.
· Oppression.
· Social injustice.
Internal Concerns:
· Depression.
· Anxiety.
· Distrust.
1. Work with people to overcome issues of social injustice that manifest in their individual relationships within families, as couples, members in groups, organizations, and or communities.
Some helpful hints can be:
· Providing resources.
· Education/Acculturation.
· Teaching how to navigate to locate resources.
The following questions might be used to help students frame their ideas and to conceptualize the assignment;

Students will write an 8-page paper that incorporates aspects of the course into their own evolving social work practice. For example, you might choose as your focus: This 8-page paper will include at least 8 citations of appropriate current literature from relevant sources and be formatted in APA style.
