PEERS POST:
Yes, I would use positive guidance, using this will help me to remember that I'm dealing with a child who has a behavior issue, which may be beyond his control, and know that and having this tool could help me throughout the year, on the proper approach to use when dealing with a child. Along with the teacher's rule, and the positive guidance I would include the "BEE rules", (being safe, and kind are already on the rules, which are also included with mine.
· BEE respectful
· BEE safe
· BEE kind
· Bee a hard worker "NEVER GIVE UP, UNTIL YOUR GOOD IS YOUR BETTER, AND THE BETTER IS YOUR BEST"!
reason for choosing to share the "BEE rules" is it helps to encourage a positive environment with both the teacher and child relationship and the children's relationship
I also would incorporate my "carpet rule"
· stay in 1 spot (not move all around the carpet)
· have a listening mouth (your mouth shouldn't be talking when the teacher is)
· listening ears (listen to the teacher/guest)
· and listening hand (keep hands to yourself)
