One of the class requirements for an aesthetic Background sub-section is that you discuss “classic” works of art or literature (e.g., The movies listed below have been judged by the American Film Institute as being in the “Top 100” movies of all time (2007).
Note that the six movies listed below are NOT to be used – although they are classics – either because we will discuss them in class or they have been overused in past papers.

An aesthetic analysis of these movies would include discussion as to why they are considered leaders in the genre.
