Class 2 Assignment 3 Teacher comments and rubric:

Teacher comment: Thank you for your work on this assessment. I think you did a very basic describing your objective of ridding the organization of medical errors resulting in harm. I like that you provided predictions but they were NOT supported with evidence from the literature to help illustrate your interdisciplinary plan related to improving outcomes.  Overall, this is a basic effort on this assessment.  I made some recommendations on how some criteria might achieve a higher performance score. I look forward to reading more of your work

1. Describes an objective and predictions for an evidence-based interdisciplinary plan to achieve a specific goal related to improving patient or organizational outcomes, including methods from the literature that may be used to determine success.

Teacher COMMENTS: I like that you provided an objective. I did not find a full enough detailed description of possible predictions for your plan. I did not find enough citations of supporting evidence from the literature to support the plan and to see how it is related to improving outcomes. What does the literature say?

to score higher add literature support and examples and / or illustrations

2. Explains a change theory and a leadership strategy, supported by relevant evidence, that is most likely to help an interdisciplinary team succeed in collaborating and implementing, or creating buy-in for, the project plan, providing real-world examples relevant to the health care organization that is the context for the plan.

Teacher Comment:  I liked your explanation of both change theory and leadership strategies, supported by a few citations. For a distinguished score, are there authors you could cite, who might provide more citations of supporting evidence from the literature to help show how the plan can be more fully implemented?  Are there real-world examples from your practice, or from the literature that you might share?

3. Explains the collaboration needed by an interdisciplinary team to improve the likelihood of achieving the plan’s objective, including best practices of interdisciplinary collaboration from the literature. Provides real-world examples relevant to the health care organization that is the context for the plan.

Teacher Comment: I like that you explained collaboration, but I did not find a discussion of collaboration in terms of an interdisciplinary team. I also did not find a full enough discussion of best practices of interdisciplinary collaboration, supported by citations. This is needed for a higher performance score. What does the literature say? Are there real-world examples that you could share?

4. Explains organizational resources, including a financial budget, needed for the plan to succeed and the impacts on those resources if nothing is done to make the improvements sought by the plan. Provides real-world examples relevant to the health care organization that is the context for the plan.

Teacher Comment: I am glad that you began to discuss a few resources needed for your plan to succeed. I did not find a clear financial budget, or a full discussion, supported by citations, about how your resources will be affected if the improvements you planned for, do not happen. This is needed for a higher performance score. Real-world examples are also needed for a distinguished score with citations.
