Hotel Management System: Project Overview

The project, Hotel Management System is a web-based application that has been designed to handle all general hotel activities such as rooms booking, staff management, billing, etc. This application deploys an interactive GUI, making the management of hotels operations flexible and convenient. With Hotel Management System, the hotel manager would be able to manage the entire system using a single interface. This application facilitates the customers to view and book room online. It will be the responsibility of admin to either approve or disapprove the booking requests made by the customer. Using this application, customers can view and book other services also, being offered by the hotel. It would facilitate the hotel manager to manage the hotel activities from anywhere. Hence, the system is useful for both hotel managers and customers. This application is effective and efficient in saving time and costs incurred by both users and hotel (Miller, 2019).

Scope

The Hotel Management System facilitates the hotel manager to add and manage customer information. It provides various modules, such as admin module, user module, employee module, report module, and bill module, for respective purposes. It helps the hotel manager and admin to keep track of daily tractions and ongoing operations within the hotel. It provides authority to the admin and the hotel manager to administer and control various hotel activities (Miller, 2019).

Deliverable

Since it is a web-based application, a working website for Hotel Management System is the deliverable for this project (Miller, 2019).

Results

All the modules were working in accordance with the requirements specification. And the project was accepted by the client (Miller, 2019).

Constraints

In project management, there are typically triple constraints: time constraint, scope constraint, and cost constraint. The time constraint is the project schedule such that the project needs to be completed within certain deadline. It encompasses effective planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control. The scope constraint ensures that the final deliverable meets the specific goals, deliverables, features and functions in addition to the completion of the project. The cost constraint ensures that the project is completed within the estimated budget. It encompasses all the costs associated with development, labor, vendor, quality control, and so on (Zein, 2013).

Recommendation

While doing this project, the major challenge was in understanding the requirements. In this project, the requirements were ambiguous. So, it took time in understanding the requirements. Specifications regarding most modules were missing, which came into picture eventually. So, I would suggest that while gathering requirements, one must be fully ensure about the specifications (Zein, 2013).

Classmate 2:

Today, a few business associations are receiving propelled instruments and advances. Associations are doing their best level to improve their key execution and fit in the higher upper hand. Hence, the organization required to think of some key varieties to build up its system secure and quicker. I had given the task, and the organization expected it to be done inside a month.

The plan helped me in venture arranging all the current exercises in a single month. I had many group partners who helped me in taking out the given undertaking. The venture was an incredible achievement, and the organization may now utilize the quicker system we had associated. (Ahn, L. (2018). 

3.  Also, there are different key imperatives that they may confront. In a few cases, individuals face bigger imperatives inclosing time and cash. The significant imperative we experienced was cash. The cash we had taken for the venture was insufficient, and we needed to allude to the organization for certain extra assets. Fortunately, the organization had the option to offer cash with use.
