STUDENT 1:

How have your coursework and this class changed the way you approach your career? Explain your answer.

Completing this class has changed my approach toward my career in various ways. I have developed a more focused mindset regarding my profession than before.  I have learned to prioritize tasks according to their level of urgency as well as their importance. Setting specific professional goals is essential for self-motivation and continuous improvement.

What are your 3-month, 1-year, and 5-year professional goals, and how has your experience at CTU prepared you for those?

My 3-month goal is to enroll in a master's degree program related to my field of work in the medical field. I also plan to complete my master's degree in either psychology or education, which will require me to develop new skills while enhancing existing ones simultaneously. After one year from now, I aim to acquire hands-on experience by participating in volunteer projects relevant to my niche area of interest that would enable me to gain practical exposure while also giving back something valuable too. In five years from now, I envision myself holding a leadership position within my organization or starting up an entrepreneurial venture underscoring innovation coupled with sustainability values that are close to not just mine but also those who resonate with them, thereby creating value on multiple dimensions, including social responsibility besides financial performance metrics. My experience at Colorado Technical University (CTU) has played a pivotal role in preparing me for achieving these goals successfully by providing quality education combined with experiential learning opportunities that help bridge theory-practice gaps seamlessly, equipping students like us with diverse skill sets ranging from technical prowess such as analytical thinking to soft skills such as communication that are necessary ingredients contributing towards the holistic human capital development framework required today across organizations.

STUDENT 2:

hello everyone!

I just wanted to say about 2 years ago when my daughter was only a year and a half old. I enrolled here at CTU , I heard about CTU from a relative who was also considering going back to school. looking back I do not have any regrets. Being a single young mother, it is never easy to go back to school and work. When the pandemic had hit I wanted to do something that would change not just my life, but my mindset itself. When you accomplish something as big as graduating from high school or getting your Bachelors/Masters degree it speaks on your character. You are able to show that you can not just start something but finish as well. Not everyone can finish a bachelor's or masters degree , yet I am here and I did. This is what I have learned in my business capstone, to not be afraid of challenging yourself. After, graduating here from Colorado Tech University I have already for my fall term to start taking classes for my LPn Career for the spring of 2024. Then , maybe I will transition over to be a registered nurse. While being here at Ctu I have been working in the medical field. I didn't think that I would enjoy, helping others making a difference in patients lives the way that I do. I am forever grateful for all of my instructors for encouraging me and pushing me to not give up . Now that I have accomplished this degree, after being a lpn/rn, I will continue to get my masters possibly dealing with kids or mental health. Everytime I log into my student portal , and complete an assignment whether it is intellipath or a discussion post I am juggling with my brain and making sure I am submitting work on time, taking care of daughter and other important things. I really want to take the time to encourage everyone to take time for yourself. Mental Health is very important as well as self care. I wish everyone the best and noting but blessings to come into your life!
