CJ 331 Milestone Three Guidelines and Rubric

Milestone Three will address the critical elements in section IV of the final project, entitled Communication Technology. Review the Final Project Document, think about the scenario, and formulate answers and solutions you would recommend to solve the problem. Keep your answers clear, effective, and focused on the basic ideas you want to offer.

a. Explain the benefits of integrating technology into the transition from traditional policing to community policing. How will the use of technology positively impact community and law enforcement relationships and aid in combatting crime?

b. Propose methods for using media communications technology to improve community and law enforcement relationships. How does the use of media technology assist you in achieving your expected outcomes? What risks are associated with using media communications?

c. Propose methods for technology-based communications systems to improve community and law enforcement relationships and combat crime. How can you use technology-based communication systems internally to support your desired outcomes? How will you use technology-based communication systems to communicate with the public?

d. Propose methods for using technology to improve access and timely delivery of data for your police officers in order to improve community and law enforcement relationships and combat crime. How can technology and data be used to guide decision making related to combatting crime? How can it be used to better your community relationships?

Guidelines for Submission: Milestone Three must be submitted as a Microsoft Word document with 12-point Times New Roman font, double spacing, and one- inch margins.
