It is a two-year program training students as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse for careers (RN). For one to become an LPN or RN, this is the minimum academic prerequisite. Pursuing an ADN creates a wide variety of job options and work experiences for a nurse. An ADN can deal closely with all kinds of patients, including infants, mothers, adults, youth, and elderly people (Feeg & Mancino, 2016). The program trains nurses for high-quality treatment, so job protection is available. In diverse healthcare settings and the community, nurses with an ADN will operate. Their functions include assessing, diagnosing, and handling patients, delivering health education, caring for patients in admission wards, running surgical devices, and participating in treatment management with other healthcare professionals. Therefore, they will secure a position in any setting that provides any of these facilities. These include hospitals, home healthcare services, nursing care facilities, outpatient care centers and colleges, professional schools and residential care facilities (Ghaffari, 2017). The IOM Recommendations for Achieving Higher Levels of Education IOM agrees that nurses have a role to play in responding to emerging demands. IOM suggests that by reaching higher levels of preparation and training and actively seeking further education, nurses can change nursing practice (Shen, Peltzer, Teel & Pierce, 2015). Nurses should intend to seek additional technical qualifications and an advanced degree as an ADN nurse. In four critical aspects of their career, one should also intend to seek clinical qualifications to make me an all-round qualified nurse practitioner, encourage quality care, reduce the chances REFLECTION PAPER ON THE FUTURE OF NURSING3 of medical mistakes, and thereby improve patient satisfaction. One can also be an AIDS Licensed Registered Nurse (ACRN). A licensed nurse is expected to participate consistently in HIV/AIDS nursing for a period of two years in order to gain clinical certification, during which the nurse undertakes a formal evaluation evaluating his or her knowledge of ethical and legal concerns, epidemiology and prevention, pathophysiology, and HIV/AIDS psychosocial issues. One can hope to take this course to foster their nursing skills when taking care of community members afflicted with HIV, that's been on the increase in recent years. One can obtain a more specialized degree in nursing, like PhD in nursing practice (DNP). A nurse can also prepare to specialize in medicine for families. It takes four years for the curriculum to finish, so the timeframe for completing this purpose is four years. The purpose of pursuing this course is to gain skills that are important for leadership positions in nursing, such as expertise to impact others, influence patient outcomes through leadership, science analysis, creativity and policy adoption of innovative economic care methods. The course would also extend to involve nurse practitioner and political leader in prospective job choices (Burson, Moran & Conrad, 2016). How Increasing the Level of Education Impacts a Nurses’ Competitiveness in the Job Market and their Role in the Future of Nursing Growing one’s educational level would increase their work market performance, thus increasing their job security. First all the abilities they gained through their ADN can be checked by pursuing technical certificates. This together with the DNP, would improve their abilities and therefore their competitiveness. The skills required to successfully compete in a nursing profession to deliver healthy and reliable care have greatly grown in today's culture. Today, the requisite expertise has grown to include competencies in public health, geriatrics, managerial REFLECTION PAPER ON THE FUTURE OF NURSING4 skills, health policy, framework upgrades, science, and evidence-based practice, as opposed to previous days when nursing expertise in patient treatment was adequate (Dechezleprêtre & Sato, 2017). One’s progress of education will equip them with these critical kills The Relationship of Continuing Nursing Education to Competency, Attitudes, Knowledge, and the ANA Scope and Standards for Practice and Code of Ethics Continuing nursing training contributes to increased competency of nurses. Because of the shifting cultural makeup of patients, the development of clinical science, and the emergence of patients with various disorders, the healthcare industry is rapidly developing. Continued schooling provides nurses with advanced professional expertise that is important for coping with these tough cases. In the particular fields they want to progress in, further education further advances the expertise of a nurse. For example, if a nurse wishes to develop pediatric nursing education, he or she becomes a specialist in the management of pediatric cases (Snibsøer, 2019). Hence in the diagnosis and care of patients, the nurse receives more experience. The nurse's clinical understanding and problem solving are strengthened by continuing practice, thereby strengthening their attitudes towards the precision of nursing diagnosis. inadequate knowledge often creates decision-making problems, thereby making the nurse to adopt a pessimistic outlook regarding nursing. Persistent nursing education increases the expertise of nurses in different disciplines, thereby enhancing the quality of practice. In addition, continuing education leads to new skills and qualifications, thus affecting the ANA Scope of Operation. As the standard of qualification for nurses grows, ANA's area of experience continue to extend. There is a broader work spectrum for nurses with much more professional qualifications. Continuing education further enhances the understanding of the nurse, while upholding the Ethical standards that govern nursing practice. Furthermore, nurses gain collaboration by continuous learning, that is important for increasing their knowledge in various fields. REFLECTION PAPER ON THE FUTURE OF NURSING6 References.
