2. Convert the data into a table with appropriate controls.
3. Add a column called “Elapsed” and calculate the number of days that each president served.
4. For President Trump change the word incumbent so that it shows today’s date. Be sure that “today” will refresh dynamically each time this analysis is run.
5. Calculate the total number of days from President Theodore Roosevelt’s first day until today just below the data in column C. Compare it to the total of the elapsed column. Label each item.
6. Create Pivot Tables and a Pivot Chart to duplicate the Pivot Tables and chart below using the current date. Place these tables and chart on the same worksheet just below the data. Be sure to have the appropriate number formatting for your pivot tables and chart. Also notice that the sequence of the results in the second Pivot Table, with Vice-President first and Business last. One way to deal with this is to highlight the top line of the second pivot table, right click and then click on “move.” You will need to utilize the “move” instruction multiple times.
7. Hint: For the second Pivot Table, you will need to do an additional “text to column” on the “Previous Office” column. ONLY THE FIRST WORD IS TO BE INCLUDED IN THE PIVOT TABLE FOR PREVIOUS OFFICE. SELECT DO NOT INPORT FOR EACH COLUMN AFTER THE FIRST ONE.
