You lost power in your house, and many of your items are no longer working. Your cable connecting your house to the pole also came down and needs to be reattached. You will first correct your cable network setup in this practice, so everything works in your house.
Task 1 – Identifying the problem
Identify the problem with each item. Establish a theory of probable cause, and test the theory to determine the cause. Establish a plan of action to resolve the problem and implement the solution. Verify full system functionality and, if applicable, implement preventative measures. Document findings, actions, and outcomes. Don’t forget network security!
