1.1 Case Background

According to 2030 vision we create an App that will be the first App for cinema in Saudi Arabia. The cinema App will call Cinema Explorer. We will make a system for the application shows newest movies in many cinemas around Saudi Arabia at different times and places to helps lovers movies booking online. The application will shows to the users the nearest cinemas around them and allows them to select the movies and the seats. In addition, the application has special options for other services, which are selecting 3d glasses, blanket ordering snacks. The payment will be only online by visa and master card distinguished easily to pay. One advantages of the Cinema Explorer Application is save the time instead of going to the Cinema’s places

This application will provide up to date movies with the ability to view movie trailers, reserve seats, choose a snack, and pay through this application.

1.4 The problem:

Entertainment is a very important aspect in people’s lives. Therefore, people need to have many ways to entertain themselves. One of the most common and popular ways for entertainment is cinema, and there are many cinemas exist globally since 1890s. I addition, since there are many important problems exist when we come to cinema during holidays, there must be some strategies or solutions to solve these problems. The most important problem that many people face during holidays is the crowd. Many people are forced to wait in long quest to just do their reservation for their ticket movies and to take a snack. Also, the only way to see what new movies for a specific cinema is by taking a brochure for that cinema. Therefore, there must be specific ways to improve and solve these problems.

Currently, many people are facing a problem when they want to entertain themselves and go to the cinema. The purpose of that is when they go physically there, they spent much time waiting in long ques just to get their tickets, reserve their seats and get their snacks. Sometimes, they do not find enough seats and they find them all filled after many people reserved them. Also, sometimes families want to reserve seats next to each other but they find them all filled up with people because of the crowd. Moreover, customers spend much of their time waiting in long ques, and sometimes they may be late for their movie, and they reach after the movie has started.

BRIEF STATEMENT OF EXPECTED SOLUTION

The development of cima com system will provide many opportunities to the customers. They will be able to reserve their movie, snack and seats through the app from any place they are in Saudi Arabia. Whether they are in the home, or at work. Everything will be easy to the customers. Also, the payments will be through the application and the users can use the application either through ios or android whether through their smartphones, taplates and labtops.

Mashael: Good morning are you the system analyst Hanouf?

Hanouf: Hello, yes, I am are you the vice president Mrs. Mashael?

Mashael: Yes, I am so glad that we get together today to talk about system. Because we need to discuss the problem of our system.

Hanouf: what is the problem, and why do you think we need to develop that system?

Mashael: many people have a problem to go to the cinema and wait in long quest just to get their ticket. Also, they do not have an opportunity to book their seats and snack as they wish, and we want to develop a system that provide them with all these opportunities. That is why we are talking today.

Hanouf: That is sound good and challenging a bit, but I think we can do it.

Mashael: what do you think Zahraa, are you the system developer?

Zahraa: yes, I am. I think it is a very good idea and this will simplify the lives of people

Mashael: AlHanouf, what do you think about this new system. Is it will be useful?

AlHanoof: from a programmer perspective, I think it will have some difficulties, but we will do our best and we will success on that.

Mashael: what do you mean by difficulties?

Alhanoof : we may face some problems like security threats, and not understanding what the user wants.

Mashael: Hanouf, do you think our new system will replace legacy system?

Hanouf: Yes, I think because many people will save their time and effort if they use our system instead of using the old ways in booking movies and wait on long ques. Also, this can benefit older people or the ones who have health problems that will prevent them from waiting in long ques. By this method, they will feel more comfortable.

Mashael: what do you think other problems we might face?

Hanouf: we may need a large amount of budget to do the analysis and design of the system.

Mashael: can you explain to me the business processes that the system has or what the system does?

Hanouf: well, the users will register on the system, sign in to the system, the system will determine location and will show them the near cinamas to them and they will choose among them. After that , they can choose the type of the movie they want, their seats, their snack they prefer , and pay through the system.

Mashael: ok well, that sounds good.

Mashael: Hanouf, what about the users are they will be able to update their information after they register in the system?

Hanouf: Yes, they will be able to do that through the settings, and then all their information will be updated and replaced in the system.

Mashael: AlHanouf does the system will be accessible with the use of internet and secured?

AlHanoof: Yes, it will be highly secured, and the users can easily access it through their smartphones or their laptops and tablets.

Mashael: ok, Does the system will support English language for the users?

Alhanouf : Yes, the system will support English to make it easier to the users.

Mashael : does the system easy to navigate? What do you think zahraa?

Zahraa: Yes. The system will be easy to navigate and the categories will be divided clearly.

Mashael: ok that sound good. what about the payment? How it is going to be? Users need to pay easily without being in the location of the cinema. Is there a me? can you tell me a little bit about that Hanouf?

Hanouf: Yes. The payment will be online through the application for sure and they will be able to pay through their smartphone, tablets or labtops.

Mashael: If the users have complaints or they want to talk with someone in charge through the system. How they can do that?

Hanouf: the users can easily contact the responsible person through his phone number in the contact us , and their problems will be solved immediately.

Mashael: if there are some users have a problem with their credit cards , and they cannot pay by using the system. What possible solution we can provide to this situation?

Hanouf: in this situation, they can step by the cinema and pay cash for their tickets immediately without the need to wait on the ques.

Mashael : what if there are old people who have diabetes or high blood pressure and cannot eat the popcorn or other unhealthy snacks ?

Hanouf: there will be a separate section on the meals in the application. That have healthy snacks which is will be suitable for old people who suffer from various health problems to eat from and they do not need to go another place to get the snacks that suits them.

Mashael: ok, what about the selection of the movies are the users able to search in the system about the movies available?

Hanouf: all the movies will be available once they are released and the user can choose between them only., and it is going to be according to the types such as, comedy, horror, family, kids, fantasy, romance and according to the movies that are available on the cinemas.

Mashael: I’m fine. I just wanted to ask you some important questions according to what Mrs. Hanouf said before. She told me that you are able to provide me with extra information about the new system that we need in order to understand the problems we

have been experiencing without having this system.

Zahraa: I am ready to help you.

Mashael: That’s great. Mrs. Hanouf mentioned the issues we are having nowadays without this new system and that the people always suffer from waiting in the long ques in cinema in order to get their tickets for the movie they choose or buy a snack. Also, that will lead to consuming too much time standing without any benefit. Is there anything else that you can add?

Zahraa: Well, this has many effects on people who want to entertain themselves. In these days, it is ridiculous to go physically do the reservation and the payment of ticket. it requires too much effort and time.

Mashael : What should replace it?

Hanouf : there must be something that anyone can access it online and through the smartphones from any location.

Mashael: But how the data of the users can be maintained , stored , and viewed via the Web?

Hanouf : the new system will provide a mechanism to allow users to register and update their own data, select the movie they want to watch, and pay for their tickets. What is great also is that even if the users enter the information and did the booking and logout, the changes will still be available in the real-time.

Mashael: What happens if the system went offline? Is there a way to save the information?

Hanouf: I do not think that this is going to be a problem. Because we have a backup system that tends to save the data even if the user is offline and logout from his account. What is crucial, though, is that the system be secure.

Mashael: how can we us as the owners of this system can generate money?

Zahraa: well, every time the customers buy a ticket, snack or reserve seats through our system we will get 20 percent of the bill.

Mashael: that’s great , this seems a lot of money.

Mashael: when the users download the app, is it gonna work in both ios and android, and is their a difference between the two?

Hanouf: The app will work in both, and there is no difference between the ios and the android version. Both of them will have the same features.

Mashael: that’s sound great and everyone can use the app. What is about the location feature? Is it accurate?

Hanouf: Yes, it is completely accurate. Once the users register on the system, they can identify their location of the cinema very accurately according to their region.

Mashael: ok. Is it will be only in Saudi arabia?

Hanouf : yes as a beginning.

Mashael: the users will choose which cinema they want?

Hanouf: yes after they put their location. The near cinamas will appear to them and they will choose one
