Chronemics Is The Study Of Time In Communication

We All Have An Individual Sense Of Time (Morning/Night Person) As Well As A Time Orientation (Past, Present, Future)

Monochronic Time Vs Polychronic Time

Monochronic Time

-Focus On One Thing At A Time

-Adhere To Time Commitments/Deadlines/Schedules

-Try Not To Disturb Others

-Emphasize Promptness

Polychronic Time

-Do Many Things (Multitask)

-Subject To Distractions & Disruptions

-Committed To Relationships Instead of Tasks/Schedules

-Not As Concerned With Deadlines/Schedules/Promptness
