3. Since the beginning of Chinese civilization (i.e. the Yellow Emperor) to the Yuan dynasty, the Chinese people had witnessed many changes in the governmental structure and philosophy, structures of society and population, traditional Chinese beliefs, and gender roles. Please address two such changes and provide examples.

4. How did Buddhism, a foreign religion from India, become popular in China since Han dynasty to Yuan dynasty? In order to preach Buddhism to the Chinese people, how did monks integrate Chinese traditional beliefs in Buddhist teaching?
