Overview: Over the course of our nation’s existence, the federal and state governments have enacted many pieces of legislation to help American workers by creating policies and las that help to reform many of the social and economic inequities that are exhibited in our working society. There are many such reforms that we now utilize and have come to rely on. In this project, you will take one union-based issue and create a poster that discusses the history of the issue, give a timeline, show how the legislation a�ects work situations, and other areas that are important to your topic. Learning Objectives: Students will be able to: • Describe the working conditions before any legislation was put in place • Evaluate the e�ects of legislation on the working experience • Compare and contrast the viewpoints of unions, workers, and government • Analyze the issues and problems of the interest, values, perspectives, and points of view
