Character Analysis Development Paper This paper is a short developmental analysis (4-5 pages) of a character in a popular movie/book that you can choose to read or view for this course. It should powerfully depict significant developmental issues that we will be exploring throughout the course. For this assignment, you’ll practice connecting course material to a character’s development (physiological, cognitive, social-emotional). You must also discuss how culture and context impacted this character’s development.

Important!

Please do not pick a character that depicts a disorder. Do NOT spend time in the paper describing the movie or book. You may need to briefly describe the character or setting events, but I do not want a lengthy description of the movie/book. I expect you to jump into the analysis.

Paper Requirements: • Describe the physiological, cognitive, and social-emotional development of the

character during a developmental period

• Analyze the character’s development using domains and theories (e.g., Erikson's Psychosocial Developmental Theory; Piaget's Cognitive Developmental Theory; Bandura's Social Learning Theory) discussed in-class and in the text.

• Discuss how the individual’s culture and contextual factors play a role in this developmental stage.

• Briefly supplement and support the description with stories, examples, or quotes, as needed.

• Adhere to APA formatting throughout.
