Description
The OpsTech IT Supply Chain team has an immediate opening for an experienced Global Operations
Leader, responsible for all aspects of product assembly/delivery, quality and process improvement
programs (Kaizen events). Through our Rapid Asset Deployment (RAD) team, Operations is responsible
for centralization of network spare pools, repair of equipment, RMA’s, and liquidation of assets. As we
continue to grow our services, RAD will put more focus on the configuration and building of equipment,
used to support new site launches. The ideal candidate will provide global leadership and direction for
the organization to achieve delivery and production goals in support of the Master Production Schedule.
Through your leadership of cross functional teams, you will develop strategy, hold teams accountable
and champion a culture of continuous improvement. As a senior leader, you will coach your managers in
leadership and behavioral competencies in order to deliver high impact business results. This team must
embrace and implement breakthrough technologies to deliver a customer experience that significantly
outpaces the competition.
In This Role, You Will
• Build and maintain strategic plans for manufacturing, covering capacity planning, infrastructure
requirements, cost containment, labor management and initiatives required for continuous
improvement.
• Be responsible for operations and managing best practices with a strong emphasis on production
efficiencies and asset utilization.
• Tightly manage COGS through cost control, material usage efficiency, labor utilization, quality
performance, etc.
• Support Materials team by identifying risks in the supply chain and reducing liability by shrinking total
inventory.
• Drive deployment of manufacturing fulfillment models, high pass through yields and exceptional
quality.
• Implement daily, weekly and monthly performance reports for all departments associated with
manufacturing, production and operations utilizing standard and customized metrics and analysis to
demonstrate efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
• Supervise a global team over multiple shifts, including employee hiring and retention, performance
review, coaching, counseling and corrective action.
• Have a passion for continuous improvement and expertise in Kaizen leadership and LEAN principles;
quality orientated and high attention to detail.
• Assess financial statements and activity reports to measure productivity and determine cost reduction
areas.
• Manage deadlines and follow-up with all key stakeholders regarding status of project deliveries to
ensure timely and accurate execution.
• Create and execute policies and programs to maximize capacity and efficiency and ensure high quality
and low costs.
• Maintain a culture of high performance in the organization and be able to deliver solutions in an
ambiguous environment
This position will require 30-40% travel
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or related field
• A minimum of 10 years of career progression in a variety of supply chain operations, preferably in a
global, multi-SKU, multi-channel, manufacturing, and logistics center environment
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing
multiple responsibilities
• Has a clear understanding of how driving supply chain improvements will link across entire end to end
operations
• Ability to coordinate with geographically dispersed support groups and remote management of team
members based in other locations
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, and ERP systems
Preferred Qualifications
• Masters’ Degree
• 15+ years of Operations management experience in either consumer electronics or high-tech markets.
• 7+ years’ direct managerial experience
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
