Being a sales manager for a retail store, it is substantial that I inspire and lead my sales team as it is my role and responsibility. Leading by example would be my ideal message to them. I would be leading my team from the front line by being on the floor with them instead of being an office leader, as the norm of most managers. Being on the ground with them would clearly show that I am the same as them, and my title does not signify anything. Additionally, I have to communicate to them clearly what we intend to do even if we are not faced to face to be precise about what we want to do. Leading by example correlates with improving their performance to influence the team's sales through their skill set and motivation. This message would result in trust-building, explicit acknowledgment of the store goals, increased resilience (Sharma et al., 2020), and effective communication where everyone is on the same page.

The intended audience for my message is my sales team since we work closely together and at the same time spend more time together while working. Sales specialists, sales representatives, and customer service representatives are the intended audiences. As the workplace expectations pertain to everyone being on the same page, my sales team would perfectly fit my tailored message, thus achieving our overall goal at the retail store.

For my message to be well understood and comprehended, I will choose a topography that will match my presentation mood of the message to my audience. I will opt for the Sans serif font to communicate my message as it is a substantial standard font that is easy to preserve compatibility and great-looking (Rizzi, 2017). The font will bring more personality to my message since I am an organized manager, thus yielding a straightforward and consistent outlook. Through Sans serif font, my message will be memorable, unique, legible, communicate brand personality, and work on every platform, therefore its justification for use. Since I want my team to see I am one of them while on the floor, and my title means nothing, this font would align with my personality trait indicating to them that I am approachable, accessible, contemporary, essay going, efficient, trustworthy, minimal, modern and clean. In addition, my final project will have white space to maintain that clean, modern look. Ryan (2012) states White space is that part of the layout or frame that is left unmarked. Clean, open areas are especially inviting to readers (Ryan, 2012).

I plan to use visuals to help explain the message that I will be conveying to my sales team to try to hold their attention for as long as possible instead of using the usual long boring emails. Like Kennedy's approach to visual literacy, I plan on using images as my visuals since they are more captivating (TEDx Talks, 2010). It will be easier for them to understand the message since they are all adults and can think critically about their interpretation. Since we live in a visual world of social media sites like Instagram to acquire information, visuals will vitally add more concepts to my message. It will pull emotions from the team connecting with them in a multitude of ways. I will speak my words more instead of writing them on my presentation as blocks of text will distract my sales team from listening. I will use beautiful visuals as a supplement to my content which will be memorable to the team. I will also use interesting diagrams that will excitingly address my message but are not self-explanatory. I will also utilize data visualization to clarify more information and not repeat it but create something candidly engaging. Ultimately, my supporting visual graphics will not overwhelm my team with information but aid in explaining the message.

I will opt to use PowerPoint presentation as my medium to communicate the message to my sales team. This platform will align with my use of visual graphics, therefore an added advantage to my message. This platform allows diagrams, images, hierarchy levels, graphs, colors, backgrounds, and other correlating designs to supplement my content. Additionally, the PowerPoint platform will complement my topography choice, thus the reason to use it and allow effective and efficient passage of my message.
