Written Overview

The HIM system being a conglomeration of different operations, require different departments as well as professionals, to ensure its overall productivity. The highest professional in the HIM system is the HIM director, responsible for daily management of the HIM system. The HIM system is associated with assembly and analysis of patients records, which are all achieved in the scanning clerk department (Zeng, Reynolds, & Sharp, 2009). Other functions associated with the HIM system include inpatient and outpatient coding, which are facilitated and controlled by the inpatient and outpatient coders.

In addition, another key stakeholder of the system is the Revenue Cycle Manager, responsible for daily management of revenue cycle activities. The Revenue cycle manager uses the Delaware County Regional Health system, which has the capacity to access patient health information as well as generate revenue reports.Moreover, other stakeholders of the HIM system,include, the supervisor, responsible for clerical, filling and ROI, who effectively utilizes the Red River Rural Health system that has access to patient EHR (LaCour).
