Subject: The CEO Challenge

Introduction Comment by Sharon Rose: The CEO challenge is for an internal employee provide recommendation of new IT system to remove or bring the Shadow IT projects under the IT department.Include how this assignment will communicate how your project proposal satisfied the CEO's concern.

First, we must analyze what is an Information System. An Information System has multiple usage, It’s a collection of equipment such as hardware, software and even computer connections and data. There are many companies in the world that works in innumerable data. The whole purpose of data is to develop fundamental values or facts that helps organize information within the database system. The whole purpose of data is to turn information that is useless, into useful information that will help grow and really establish a big or small business or organization. In the company that I work in which is a school system, It is very important that data becomes secure and useful so that records will continue to be safe and secure.

Proposed Information System

When it comes to Information Systems, there are some many types of them. For example, my proposed information system would be a knowledge Management System. The reason is because a knowledge Management System helps an organization in terms of analyzing and organizing data. Because a database management system is coming in a package of software and data, I believe that this system is the best for the organization. It can also make the decision making process so much easier and it brings innovation and creativity to a organization as well, especially for a big empire like a school system.

Functions Important to Business

When it comes to business, business strategies are being invested most into Customer Service, Operational efficiency, and Decision Making. In my opinion these are the top 3 functions to any business.

Customer Service- The improvement of communication and quality service to customers, causes customers to feel comfortable coming back to you which causes raises to go up, revenue to increase and Ratings to go up as well.

Decision Making- Making the correct decisions is very important, without the actual and accurate information, a lot of managers has to make decisions on educated guesses and because of that you will be inconsistent with production and with that being said customers will be lost.

Operational Efficiency- Very important in making sure that everything runs smoothly in the business, Implementing the best business practices will accomplish that. (Fraser)

Data Management Comment by Sharon Rose: Describe what types of data your information system will hold and how data quality will be ensured.

The Knowledge Management System that I would use is an Enterprise Wide knowledge management system. I work right now in a school system, and within a school system, a Enterprise Wide knowledge management system, will bring innovation, improve performance and especially for big organizations like schools can really help in terms of retaining knowledge and understanding with an organization. This System can help business owners in terms of being able to maintain consistency and speedy responses to all employees within a large organization. It also helps in terms of collecting and storing data faster and to add on to that, it adds digital storage as well. (Mrazek, 2014)

Data Types

There are a lot of organizations that treat data equally and that can sometimes be a negative effect on a business when it comes to business outcomes and decisions. All data that is collected must be useful and non-effective to the information that is already in the database. If data that is being stored is does not represent the real world, everything could go into chaos, in terms of fines being given out, CFO being jailed. In a school system, it is very important that the type of data that Is being put in is authentic and clean. (Technopedia)

Storage Methods

For a big organization, we need to implement the best storage possible to keep all records secure and safe. We will need to be innovative in this project and with the help of cloud storage, we will be able to secure safety in keeping data records. With Cloud storage we will be taking the next step in terms of efficiency.

Data Quality

Data Quality can go very unappreciated in a project, Understanding and being able to put quality data in place can take the most time. In order to ensure data quality, we must take out all the bad and incorrect data that are in files or records. The next step of this project is to complete all analytics and see the completed results after. The best way to ensure data quality is to getting the data to where it is also secure and clean and formatted to where you want it and in a way that will ensure that a big organization will not have problems. Transition of System Functions Comment by Sharon Rose: Explain how the functions you mentioned are being handled by the old information system, the problems that occur, and why your information system will handle things better.

My information System will be better than the old information system that has been in place because it will instruct order, It will give the company the foundation it needs to keep going for years to come. My information system will make sure that all data will be secured and all records will be in place. Lastly, My information system will bring innovation, and creativity to a old information system that is not working correctly.

By structure their data framework engineering incorporated with cloud innovation, the organization is in a situation to have a reasonable upper hand just as a framework that permits their representatives practically Real-time information to settle on educated choices with. They can tackle Big Data and concentrate Knowledge that increases the value of the organization and items no matter how you look at it. By empowering their Employees with better Business Intelligence, correspondence, and progressively beneficial coordinated efforts, they have enabled them to make extraordinary walks in item advancement and client administration.
