Instructions: Using the data collected from Homework #3 (COMPLETED BELOW), analyze the descriptive statistics for each variable.

First, find the range for age, siblings, and sleep (maximum value minus minimum value) in the yellow cells in the row labeled Range.

Next, indicate the appropriate measure of central tendency for each variable (***recall their level of measurement. you cannot get a mean for a nominal var***) and then calculate it using the =AVERAGE(), =MEDIAN(), and =MODE() functions. For some variables, you may want to calculate the mean. For others, the median or mode would be the most appropriate. Only give me the one that I would most be concerned about for each variable.

Lastly, choose three variables—one for which you used the mean, one for which you used the median, and one for which you used the mode—and tell me what the value actually means. Type this in sentence form. For example, “The average participant in my sample was 22.67 years old, indicating I have a fairly young sample.” or “The modal category for race was African Americans, meaning that there were more African Americans in my sample than any other race.”

You may work with other students on this assignment, but since you each collected your own data, your analyses and charts will look different. Once completed, upload the Excel document
