CASE STUDY ASSIGNMENT
This Case Study Assignment is worth 20% of your final grade. The Case Study should be no less than 8-10 pages in length (NOT including your title page, references page,
attachments, and appendices). The Case Study should be written in Standard APA style (APA Publication Manual; 7
th edition; 1
st printing). Grammar, spelling and word
usage are a part of your grade. All written assignments will be submitted to an online review service (Grammarly) to evaluate your grammar and to check for plagiarized material. Remember: NO more than 15% of your paper can be directly quoted from outside sources. I do run a plagiarism check on each paper.
Provide at least three (3) outside references (other than the text, dictionary, or
Wikipedia) that would be applicable to support your Case Study analysis. Make
certain that you provide proper reference citations for ALL source materials (including
the text) that you use to develop your comments and observations in the case. Your
reference citations must be noted in the body of your discussion so I can determine
what information was derived from what specific outside source.
Be sure to place your name on your assignment and in your file name!! Save the document in this format: “1
st Initial-Last Name-MKT6210.E1-Case-Study-Date”. For
example: JSmith-MKT6210.E1-Case-Study-1-17-21. Each Assignment must be contained in one (1) Microsoft Word file and submitted through Moodle. Files should be submitted in MS Word Version 2010 or later for this course.
I suggest that you review the text sections regarding SWOT and “Checklist for
Evaluating Strengths/ Weaknesses Analysis” (beginning on page 51) – and the “Bases
for Segmenting Consumer Markets” (beginning on page 246) before preparing your
Case Study assignment. Use the suggested report format presented below.
For this Case Study Assignment, you will analyze the Case Study: Carvana
https://www.carvana.com/ . You may use outside reference materials to update
the case to its current situation and business condition, such as
https://www.businessinsider.com/what-is-carvana . CAUTION: There are lots of
case studies re: Carvana on the Internet, so be careful about how much material
you quote directly from outside sources. Remember the 15% limit.
