Each platform represents different functions and benefits for organizations. Discussing Customer Relationship Management, The Enterprise Resources Planning, and Supply Chain Management can be very intense and complex. In this case study, I will try to make it as simple and beneficial to me and the reader as much as I can.

This case study will focus on each platform and recognize the results that each of these platforms brought and still bringing to the business world. Globalizing businesses and growing businesses in larger scale that most organizations try to achieve; CRM, ERP, and SCM platforms came to solve many problems and bring into the business world the best results and solutions to make business world more efficient.

Challenges & Opportunities & Business Solution

The Customer Relationship Management (CRM) nowadays is essential to many businesses’ success. Due to many different facts such as globalizing, speed, and efficiency are expected to be the main ground for many businesses nowadays. Such a platform came a long way to deal with many problems that the business world facing. CRM is a platform that many companies around us need to implant in order to be more sufficient and compete with the advantage of expanding with no limits. In the picture below we can see how making Customer Relationship Management a priority to increase your company’s success. The relationship between a customer and an organization can be the door to many opportunities. In the other hand, if we to deny such services and solutions, we will end up going backward with time. I mean that many companies still struggle with implementing this platform due to the fact that they are afraid of it because the lack of information that they carry.

There are many examples of organizations that provide CRM platforms. Among these is The Salesforce CRM which is a general CRM platform. HubSpot is also CRM provider that deal with the inbound CRM. One of the great examples of the operational CRM is NetSuite CRM. For the Sales CRMs, we can mention the Pipedrive as one of the bets Platforms out there for sales. All these are great solitons for business that are trying to increase one of their functions using Customer Relationship Management based on cloud computing.

In the picture below we can see that companies can benefit from implementing the Customer Relationship Management through many different factors. After implementing that platform, customer is more likely to be loyal which is a key success in that field in order for a company to grow faster in size and profit. This will also make their customers to be a huge part of their marketing strategies. Which will lead them to increase every different aspect for their success. The CRM platform will also make customers more likely to buy more products, which will result in them spending more money according to the research below.

Salesforce shared great stories of success for companies that uses their general CRM. Wells Fargo is one these companies. They were able to prove that a CRM solution helps them to save time. Through the CRM system solution wells Fargo saved more than 6 million hours of unnecessary work. As well as the developer productivity has increased more than 20 percent which made them the seventh most profitable business in the United States. Some of these great outcomes are in the pic below.

The Enterprise Resources Planning is hard software to talk about. Due to its complexity and value many businesses are afraid to talk about the software. A recent research shows that many businesses actually fails at implementing ERP. The real problem behind that is many companies fail at organizing the change between the old method that they used use and the new ERP software. Looking at the picture below, we can see that must companies do struggle with the new implementation of ERP.

The real numbers of after a success implementation is highly great but many companies struggle with installing the software and learning its strategies. As shown in the picture 74 percent of these companies spends more time than what they originally planned. Which can result in many owners to either quit it or feel differently about it. As well as the financial aspect here, we can determine that the project itself is very expansive and it most of the time 64 percent of business require to go over budget. This will result in the negative experience that recent companies will take into consideration.

Some of the best cloud-based ERP solutions are NetSuite ERP, Scoro, Sage Intacct, and Syspro. All these are great solutions for any businesses. Each of them offers different strategies in implementing the ERP software into the enterprise. The Unique things about these companies that they can install the software in ways that best fit the organization. Some businesses require a more generalized system, while other can ask for more advanced or specialized for a certain process.

Supply Chain Management (SCM) has impacted the manufacturers world very largely. For the past few years many suppliers expected a slow in demand, but cloud-based supply chain management came a long way to prove otherwise. Manufacturers care only about three main things which are speed, scale, and accuracy. Besides these three elements that field will pay no attention to any other software that will provide anything else. Supply Chain Management made speed, scale, and accuracy the main functions in such a software. Results are what usually expected in supply chain performance. SCM provides a quick and easy delivery of all what the client in need. In the picture below we can see quick access to inventory shortages and statistics help keep a supply chain operating efficiently. As a result, manufacturers will always maintain the speed, scale, and accuracy that they care about the most when it comes to supply chain.

There are many benefits comes with the implementation of Supply Chain Management software. First, the software will deliver real-time updates on the shipment. This will mean that the business will have a full view of shipment inspection and quality levels. Business will be able to check out and assemble many details of the product quality. With that being said, we can see how this will improve the manufacturing cycles times as our second benefit. Because of the accurate and speed of the data that SCM software will provide, the manufacture will have the privilege of organizing these cycles based on that data. This process will also mean that the communication levels are highly functional within the different departments which will allow for a faster delivery of the date needed to improve efficacy.

Magaya Cargo System is an example of SCM software. Magaya Cargo System is designed for freight and warehouse management which will give a detailed information on shipments and supplies. MCS also includes an accounting system to help trach inventory. There are also big companies that also offers supply chain management software’s such SAP and NetSuit.

Lessons Learned/Business Case

There are many lessons to be learned in this case study. I feel the most lesson stuck with me that how companies actually can take one of these platforms that is designed to simplify their work or to make their organization more efficient and turn it to be that monster that no one understand. This actually happens mostly in The Enterprise Resources Planning platform. Due its complexity and hard functions most companies struggle with such a platform. I mentioned earlier that in this case study that the organizational change is very important factor in order to achieve functionality in ERP software. I think that many business rushes into using these platforms without any background knowledge which make them liable to put in extra time and money. The lesson here to take is to always put in a clear plan and get to understand by learning about these platforms before you make the decision to bring it in to the company so you can avoid all the extra problems that the platforms might actually bring in in the beginning of the implementation.

Why I Care

In this case study, I think that no one can just not care about these platforms. I must care if I do want to stay in business! I mean that in order for me or my company to strive and be a good competitor, we must use such platforms to stay in the field. CRM, ERP, and SCM are important to every person in the business society. They bring speed, scale, and accuracy to the business world. I think that the reason that many companies were able to grow larger and be globalized is because of such technologies that are making the world a small market for everyone. Only a decade ago we never thought we will be able to achieve such a result in such a short time but platforms like these made the world a much smaller place. It made communication to seem so easy. I must be involved in each of these platforms in order to grow in the business world.
