Glenn Rhee is an Asian-American male currently in his early to mid-20’s residing in or around Atlanta, Georgia. He is a survivor of a recent zombie apocalypse.

Glenn is originally from Michigan, born to Korean immigrant parents. He has several sisters. As an adult he moved to Atlanta, Georgia, and delivered pizzas for a living. He expressed displeasure at his job, and wanted to do more. Glenn did not attend college, though he felt he was smart enough to do well in academia. Glenn excelled at delivering pizzas, but hoped for a more challenging job in the future. Glenn was in massive debt. He had several payments for his car and his apartment burdening him, as well as a severed relationship with his parents. Several questionable skills such as being able to hot-wire a car were acquired in his college-age years. He was forced to steal cars with friends to make a living. Glenn revealed that his financial trouble eventually became so extreme, he almost lost everything. He knew that this problem would have forced him to crawl back to his estranged parents for help.

Then a zombie apocalypse happened.

Glenn is able to use his knowledge of the roads of Atlanta to his advantage, and becomes skilled in avoiding zombies. He is instrumental in putting together a group of survivors, and on several occasions has been a successful scout for gathering supplies and finding safe routes. Glenn is skilled in outrunning and outsmarting zombies. As time has gone on, he has also become highly skilled in killing zombies. He is considered the main supply runner in his current group of survivors. He is easily able to acquire any items that he or his group may need, and he is naturally able to organize and rally others in his supply runs. These skills allow him to let his guard down, as he is not necessarily in constant fear for his life. He is able to confidently move

about the greater Atlanta area, as he is confident that he can deal with any zombies he comes across.

Glenn’s initiative to put himself in danger in Atlanta to get supplies was a vital necessity for the group. His jack-of-all-trades knowledge had proven useful several times, such as being able to hot-wire a car and siphon petrol. His youth and somewhat natural optimistic, humorous attitude frequently kept the survivor group's spirits up. He was shown always willing to do what was necessary to keep everyone together; even if it put himself in danger.

After the apocalypse, Glenn met and entered an exclusive long term relationship with a woman, Maggie. Although at times the continuous stress of being under attack puts a strain on their relationship, they for the most part enjoy an equal, healthy partnership. He is consistently an attentive, polite, and reliable boyfriend/husband. He is able to acknowledge his mistakes and move beyond past transgressions.

Glenn is considered by others to be trustworthy and loyal. At one point the leader of a rival group had him and his wife confined and tortured in order to have Glenn reveal the whereabouts of the rest of the group. Glenn was able to resist the effects of torture, and he did not provide any information to his tormentors.
