Case Analysis Specifics

· Two-person team (not three, not one)

· Company selection must be submitted by October 1. Sign up sheet is on Blackboard.

· Plagiarism will result in a failing grade on the assignment. Executive Order 1098 states that faculty members shall handle all academic dishonesty cases which occur in the classroom and then report the incident to the Office of Student Conduct & Integrity ( https://www.cpp.edu/~studentconduct/how-to-report-an-incident.shtml)..

· Choose a publicly traded company

· Company must not have been studied in another class

· Should be truly interested in the company. If you are interested in working for a company, the case is a great way to learn all about them. Fortune magazines top 100 companies might be a start.

· Don’t Plagiarize-It isn’t worth it!! You can and should use other peoples’ words, just give them credit with a reference

· Thoroughly research your company and use Mike’s Bikes; Strategic Management: An Integrated Approach; and MindTap as your foundation.

· University-level written communications must be used.

· Cover all topics on the outline. The topics are not suggested, they are required.

· Use Graphics (pictures, charts, graphs, drawings)

· Include a List of Figures at the end of your Contents

· Refer to checklists in Writing: A Survival Guide

· No more than 25 pieces of paper can be submitted; includes cover page, memo, table of contents, and references.

· Reference a minimum of eight (8) sources. Minimum is not an A

· Develop a minimum of four (4) Recommendations for the future of the company. Minimum is not an A

· Refer to the Case Analysis Evaluation Sheet for details about Context, Content, Organization, Mechanics, and Format

· Don’t Plagiarize-It isn’t worth it!! You can and should use other peoples’ words, just give them credit with a reference.

· You will receive the same grade as your partner. If you encounter problems let me know early on.

· Start early—it takes longer than one thinks.

· Run your paper through Turnitin before submitting it to me.

· Always have someone other than the authors proofread your work.
