Topic One
What are the effects of security officers using excessive forces on individuals?
In several cases, police officers have been caught worldwide using forces that exceed the recommended level to diffuse incidences or offer themselves protection. People are quick to point out that when police officers use excessive force, they will cause physical injuries to the victims. However, no one is reporting on the other effects of police use of excessive force. Who does this affect the psychology of the victim? Does police use of excessive force affect the family of the victims? These are some of the questions that this study will answer.
Topic Two
What are the bases of police loyalty?
In the case study, officer Thompson notes that police loyalty is about protecting the backs of one another. But should one officer protect the back of another one who is not upholding the societal ethics like in this case? Why would an officer become a victim when he stands against police brutality? Are the people in charge doing enough research on what is considered loyalty within the police forces? These are some significant issues that will be explored in this study.
Topic Three
Ways of stopping police brutality
Studies have shown that police brutality is caused by the insular culture within the forces, the aggressive defense nature of security forces, and resistance to changes within most police unions. Therefore, the research here will explore the various ways that society can significantly reduce police brutality.

|
Maria should report the actions of Thompson to the management of FTOs |
Thompson will be questioned about his brutality towards the victim on the street. Maria will be given a poor evaluation by Thompson putting her security work in jeopardy.
|
|
Maria should question the police loyalty that Thompson is talking about. |
If she questions the loyalty of police officers when they are patrolling, then it means she will not protect her colleague. Again she will be given a poor evaluation by her FTO, Thompson. |
|
Maria Martinez should question the truth behind the memo on the reduction of cases of police brutality. |
If she questions the memo, then the FTO officers will not be loyal to her. Her questioning of the authenticity of the memo may create a revolution within the police service. |
|
Maria should question the basis of ethical conduct within police services. |
This may be a significant step in reducing cases of police brutality. This may also spell the end of her dream of joining police forces. |
