It is a case to be bought. And, you are responsible for buying your own case. This is an individual work. You should not collaborate with anyone in this case. You should submit your own words, not to be found in Google, turn-in or any other sources. Please cite properly whenever it is appropriate.
This is a case so you are free to put your own analysis. I would like to encourage that. However, at the minimum I am expecting following from you in the case.
Q1. Draw the SPC diagram. Here you only have to draw one diagram. In fact the diagram is shown in Exhibit 6 you know what you will get. Interpret the outcome of the diagram? In the process in control.
Q2. After deciding whether the process is in control, your job is to find the capability of the process. (Refer to chapter 10, section 10.5 – design specification and process capability to understand this.) According to this section:

But here you do not have upper specification limit. It has only lower limit. It say’s wire bond should be at least (some value)- read the case. That is LSL. There is no need to specify the maximum bond.
So you have to modify the capability formula here. It can start from the middle and take one half only on numerator and denominator. Look at the modified formula.

Is the process capable? Is it 3 sigma or six sigma capable?
Q3. Q3 is on design of experiment. Look at exhibit 8 they have tested different power, time, force, and temp to see how they have impact on pull strength. You may have to do, some research in design of experiment. Or, you may use multiple regression as well (if you are not that familiar in design of experiment.)
If you do a reasonable attempt on design of experiment and come to reasonable conclusion, I will give you up to 5 extra credit points. Remember your job is to recommend the right amount of power, time, force and temperature to get the maximum pull strength. You have to use the correct method and reasonable conclusion to do get the extra credit points.
Please write report in word document. I do not expect this to be a long essay. Maximum word limit for this document is 1500. Charts and tables should be extra. And, you can make the SPC and do other calculations in excel. Please submit the word as well as Excel documents.
