CAS 464 Lesson Plan Directions and Rubric

Summary: For this assignment, you will create lesson plans for one week based on the children observations made in the videos provided or your practicum site and justify your answers with

anecdotes in a 2-3 page summary. Lessons should be based on development and children’s interests.

Instructions:

Lesson Plan

• Watch at least 5 observation videos provided or perform a minimum of 5 observation (10-20 mins in length) at your practicum site. Use notes to build lessons.

• Use the templates to get ideas on how you will create a lesson plan for the children in your internship (It is not required for you to use these exact formats but you must provide a 1 page plan that spans the length of 1 week)

• Make one week’s worth of lesson plans using at least three domains from the CA Preschool Learning Foundations

Summary

• Write a 2-3 page summary of why you chose the activities by providing anecdotes about student interest and developmental status

• Make sure to include evidence (anecdotes from your internship) to support your claims

• Must be typed and professional
