ASSIGNMENT
Career Test Assignment
1. You must follow the career test example.
2. You must interpret each scale.
3. You must include the scores in the report. Use of charts to organize those scores is the preference.
4. You must provide an explanation of ALL THE SCORES.
a. Identify the highest scores. Then your lowest scores.
b. Tell what the scores means. It is not enough to write “Jane Doe earned a score of 55 on the Linguistic Scale.” If you write a sentence such as that, you will then have to explain what the linguistic scale means. What does earning a T-Score of 55 on the Linguistic Scale mean??? You must provide a great deal of detail on this the score interpretation.
5. The Career Tests assignment is based on tests that are to be accessed online. Please see form “Accessing Career Inventories” for information on the website and how to register. You MUST have at least four (4) testing inventories completed for this assignment. You can select any four (4) on the website. There is only one specification. If you select the Career Development Inventory, you must use the College Form and not the High School Form, due to obvious reason. I would strongly urge you to choose inventories that you can find information in your textbook such as the CDI, Career Maturity, Career Style, Salience Inventory or ACCI.
6. You must complete the inventories online and the website will provide you with the numerical scoring of the inventory. You will then be responsible for interpreting the scores. The scored tests and the interpretation are what should be included in the report. Interpretation of the scales should primarily come from the textbook. Additionally, you can access this website file for information on the CDI and what it means. Please use the net also to search for additional information on the scales.
