Create a resume as if you were applying for a desired teaching job . Your resume should be no longer than 1 page typed. You must include:

● the degree you are currently pursuing (AS-Social Sciences, Teacher Education Program)

● your current job experience ( Substitute Teacher, Admin Assist., etc. We can come up with made-up experiences )

● any other relevant experience such as volunteer work or field placements ● any honors or awards you have received

3. Create a cover letter that supports your resume.

4. In the same word document as your cover letter and resume, complete a 1 page reflection to answer the following:

● Beginning with your next semester, describe how you will prepare to become a teacher. ● Identify at least one teacher preparation program (at a senior institution) you are considering

pursuing and why you have chosen this particular program and institution. ( Bachelor of Science, Mathematics Education (Middle Grades) from Western Governors University. I like this program because is all online and they have an accelerated program in which they combine your previous education, life experiences and a number of entry assessments to help you finish sooner. ) (please rewrite as you see fit).

● What challenges, academic and personal, do you believe you will face as you prepare to become a teacher? ( I think the biggest challenge will be spending time with my family specially my four-year-old son. Academically I hope that classes will eventually make more sense as I get more knowledgeable in the education field. ) (please rewrite as you see fit.)

● Map a plan for your financial future. How will you pay for the costs that you will incur? ( PERSONAL AND STUDENT LOANS) Will you pursue scholarships, grants, or student loans? Be sure to include cost of living expenses (rent, food, gas, etc). Refer back to Chapter 12 in your text.

● Identify two or three strategies/tools you will use for managing your time. What is your preferred method.

5. Make sure your Career Preparation Project is in this order: cover letter, resume, and reflection essay in the same word document.
