In paper vr is the best option. Incredibly real experiences, students would love it and it would totally do an amazing job of teaching democracy. Outside of paper, in reality, it’s not feasible:

One of our biggest pushers of our product would not support it. Professors did not choose virtual reality at all in the survey.

It’s invasive, and not every professor might feel comfortable wearing one of those on their face with everyone watching.

The technology is very young and a lot could go wrong when trying to do an exercise all at the same time.

Not many students have headsets. (figure out number from survey) no space in a classroom.

Do to the novelty, there is lack of workforce and a lack of competitive pricing when developing this.

What else can be learned from survey

It’s great because of this: immersive it is, it is new therefore better welcomed, usually through role playing it allows users to experience in a very direct way the life of a decision maker for example.

On our survey we learned that people have laptops. Our secondary research tells us community colleges might not have them.

Development is very expensive. Due to the immersive nature of the technology. Role playing requires many small details.

The reason that killed it for us was that professors had a hard time implementing it in their class. Secondary research tells us it’s very important that they are aware and knowledgeable on how the game works.

Not dependent on being on the curriculum. Book can be bought by individuals of all walks of life, then read it at the comfort of their home.
