POINTER S
DO NOT read word from word from the ppt slidesBreathe, Relax
ADDITIONAL POINTERS Speak slowly and clearly with confidence and passion. Show that you enjoyed the project, found the research interesting (even if you didn’t or found it to be difficult it shouldn’t show in your presentation).
Keep it simple in your discussion
Use minimal note/notecards. Should notecards be used-put keywords in place to help move you from one point to the other. DO NOT READ FROM YOUR NOTECARDS or YOUR PAPER!
Remember how each section is handoff to each team member
More than one person can talk from each slide Don’t make it boring, create dialogue! Tell it like a story! The slides are to help guide you, however, it’s for the audience, not you.
ADDITIONAL POINTERS Don’t ever say ‘”That’s not my slide”; everyone should know the entire project from front to back. Doesn’t matter what part you did.
Anyone in the team should be able to do each part of the presentation.
Be mindful of the time
Get your audiences attention and keep their attention
Remember: You are the subject matter expert!
Know current news highlights regarding your HCO
You are presenting to the Board of Directors (i.e. Your instructor (Me), and any guest panel members)
Lastly, MAKE AN IMPACT!
“You don’t need the approval of man in order to achieve your goals. You only need
a vision, power, tenacity, courage, motivation, patience, and faith.”
