I. Introduction
The Bachelor of Science nursing course was a very good learning experience and I got to learn so many concepts over the course. I have been able to develop nursing skills and management skills that I feel will be very useful in my nursing career. This reflection focuses on the experiences that I had through the courses in the BSN program.
II. Personal goals
a) To become a valuable member of the family, spend so much quality time with them, and support them wherever they need me.
b) To grow myself and become a better person by learning from all the failures that I have had over my life.
III. College
International College of Health Sciences was the best fit for me because of the availability of resources to facilitate the smooth running of the nursing program.
The college has a good reputation of producing very competent nurses who are equipped with the skills needed in nursing practice and continuing education.
IV. e-portfolio
I have been able to meet the program goals over the 12-month study period and I will attach some discussions, PowerPoint presentations, and documents to help prove that.
I also will list the course units for RN-BSN.
V. Program goals
I was able to take the program online and achieved the following program goals;
a) Using critical and creative thinking to help solve patient issues and other issues in professional practice
b) The application of managerial and leadership concepts in nursing delivery.
c) Use of relevant research findings and evidence practice in the improvement of patient outcomes.
d) The application of information technology in nursing practice.
e) Integration of collaboration and communication skills required for patient-centered practice.
f) The use of safety management principles in the nursing practice.
VI. Conclusion
In the courses, I have been able to demonstrate my understanding of the concepts taught in the classroom and the application of the concepts in professional practice. For all the program goals, I can demonstrate the concepts both verbally and in written form. With the concepts learned, I am ready for the challenges in the nursing practice.
