Introduction
In this project, I selected Home Depot, Inc. This is an American based company situated in Cobb County, Georgia. It deals in the provision of installation services for home improvement products and services. It supplies construction and tools for home improvement. Its organizational structure is based on the "big-box format stores" format. It operates in the U.S. and the other three countries. It began in 1978 under the leadership of its directors Bernard Marcus, Ron Brill, Arthur Blank, and Pat Farrah. The company's goal is to develop a home-improvement product superstore that favorably competes in the market. Its vision is to cultivate the American core values of equality, respect for people, community projects through corporate responsibility, and offer high-quality customer experiences. The selection of this company was based on the ease access to its data regarding the policy changes in adjusting to the existing worldwide healthcare challenge of the Covid-19 pandemic (Torres, Valdez, & Alanis, 2019).
Statement of scope
The scope of this paper is about the Home Depot strategy to remain financially profitable and increase sales in the Covid-19 pandemic era. This is a good topic because it is dealing with a current health challenge, which has caused lockdown in almost all sectors worldwide. Home Depot Company is a good example of companies that are thriving in this era and has successfully implemented a virtual working office to combat the spread of the disease, which would be devastating to the employees and clients especially within the workforce worming stations structure. Implementing a virtual workforce working station is paramount for businesses in this era and demonstrates the company's commitment to ensuring the health protection of both its clients and the workforce. Although workforce-worming stations promote creativity, bonding, and teamwork, the Covid-19 health challenge demands exploration of other new normal operations that will make Home Depot financial stability and competitive in the market. Data on the success of the virtual workforce working stations will be accessed on the company website. Home Depot has a robust website with real-time performance information. The data about the company patterns and trends of demands, actual orders completed will be accessed from the company website and information department. The analysis of the sales trends and profitability rates of the company in this era will be compared with data of the same period in the past two years. This implies that I will need network connectivity and management permission to use company data for academic project analysis (Torres, Valdez, & Alanis, 2019).
The foreseen risk I might encounter is the exclusive provider of actual financial data but I will focus more on the trend than actual figures. Again, it might be cumbersome to access the fullest of data two years down the line. Nevertheless, the work schedule and appropriate preparedness in digging through only relevant data will help mitigate the risk of time mismanagement.
Demonstration of outcomes
The MBA program outcome will come out clearly through the exploration of the topic about increasing financial stability and increased sales of Home Depots Company during the Covid-19 era using virtual workforce working stations.
The first program outcome is applying fundamental knowledge about business models, technology, and processes in the business. Exploring the implementation of virtual workforce working station will help me understand how business systems align with business objectives and the aspects that need consideration in changing systems to adapt to the current technological and other social factors of production in companies. In this case, a demonstration of the leadership styles and change models that yield high outcomes during system change will be evident. In the second outcome, the integration of information from wider sectors and with wider perspectives will be vital. Different departments will analyze the situation at hand and demonstrate how virtual working stations can come in handy. I will reach out to various stakeholders to increase system change acceptability. Information sharing will be core and therefore channels to ensure appropriate information is adequately shared will be installed. In the third outcome, critical thinking will be valuable to go round the existing challenge. Companies that have used virtual or remote workstations will offer the best example for Home depot Inc. it will be imperative to analyze how the existing evidence implemented the system changes and critically think alongside the success of the companies while remaining within the company core mandates and goals. Fourth, it will be important to evaluate innovative, strategic, and sustainable business practices and planning process that the company needs to institute the virtual working system. A good system change requires adequate planning, strategic practices and high innovative teamwork. Mobilizing workforce skills and abilities and emphasizing core values yield among employees yield to sustainable and innovative practices that will resolve existing Covid-19 health challenges. Fifth, meeting the globally diverse environments virtually demands leadership strategies and practices that promote cultural competence. I will identify the technological needs for the virtual environment through collaboration and technological shift. I will find out how to accomplish these important parameters within the company workforce. Lastly, business ethical principles demand that all players in the system change respect for each other. I will ensure that all players in the system change. The company aims at corporate responsibility, equality, and high customer experiences. I will consider information flow and adherence to the core values of the company. Teamwork and development of one another will enhance this goal (Khan & Ahmed, 2018).
Conclusion
The current business world is experiencing a health challenge that calls for companies to strategize on the practices and operations that will lower the spread of Covid-19 disease. The Home Depot inc. operated a workforce worming stations in which employees worked from the company promises. To make the company profitable and competitive in the market, a vibrant virtual working station is necessary. This will increase customer experience and the safety of all stakeholders. The access to the company data is easy through a website search. The intent of the project is t establish the vital strategies the company employed to successfully implement a virtual working station. Data reveals that virtual working stations are operational and that the company's financial stability is increasing since the first downward trend observed after lockdowns in response to the Covid-19 pandemic worldwide.
