There were challenges experienced in completing the Capstone project. One of the challenges experienced was developing connections between concepts across the project. Every week had distinct concepts particularly those related to international law. One was required to develop the links between the concepts as the starting point to gaining the ability to apply the concepts on a national level. A good example is rule of law of a country and how it is related to the international law (Higgins, 2003). Another challenge experienced in developing the capstone project was covering all the learning goals and outcome on time. This was contributed by presence of complex and lengthy concepts that required understanding and timely organization in attaining the learning outcomes on time.

There were two strategies that helped in overcoming the challenges. The first strategy involved developing concept maps to help in establishing links and variables that combine concepts. It is through the use of concepts maps that helped in establishing the links between rule of law, international court of justice and human rights (Carrillo-Santarelli, 2018). It also helped in establishing how gender identity and gender equality are related and efforts that address the issues. Another strategy that was used is a work break-down structure. This helped in organizing every activity and assigning the activities with respective time to ensure all goals were attained within the project time.
