A PERSONAL VIEW OF YALE NEW HAVEN HOSPITAL
YNHH was established in 1826 by the Connecticut Grace General Hospital Society and has provided healthcare to the area ever since. Ideally situated in the center of New Haven's old town.
"It was the first hospital building in the neighborhood, having opened in 1833 on 7.5 acres of land between Cedar Street, Howard Avenue, and Davenport and Congress Avenues.
When it was established, the State Hospital had just 13 beds " (Yale New Haven Hospital, 2021).
In 1844, the hospital's previous name was changed to New Haven Hospital, which has close ties to the Yale Medical Center for collaboration.
In 1913, Yale University School of Medicine and New Haven Hospital formalized their association. Yale New Haven Hospital is the most significant critical care hospital in Connecticut, with 1,541 beds and designation as a Level 1 Trauma Center.

HEALTHCARE NEED: INFECTIOUS DISEASES ACQUIRED IN HOSPITAL.
Healthcare-associated infections have been on the increase for some time. This act provides a fantastic opportunity to educate the healthcare community regarding HAIs and Acquired Infections in the Radiology Department since it affects every patient for radiographic examinations.
The Medical Center of YNHH sees patients of all ages, from all walks of life, with and without severe medical conditions, from all over the state and worldwide. Radiology personnel, patients, and families will benefit from a greater awareness of the potential spread of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) (Advani et al., 2020, pg 185).
Will present Knowledge about HAIs from various items used in diagnostics and therapy to the patients' advantage at the Radiology Department.
Health.gov and the CDC website provide recommendations for best practices and standards that healthcare providers should use to provide the most outstanding patient care.
Some examples of HAIs that may occur in hospitals are:
Surgical site infection (SSI)
Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
A catheter-related UTI(CAUTI)
Clostridium difficile (C.Diff)
Healthcare-associated illnesses include ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) and central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs).
