Purpose

In this final assignment, you will reflect on and synthesize what you have learned in this class. This is a two-part assignment. Part 1 Reflection

Instructions

Part 1 (50 points): Reflection about what you understood about human development before taking this course and how this has changed throughout the course.

· Review your assignments and forum posts where you discuss an assumption you had about human development and how the weekly content impacted your thinking. You may have used different language to express the idea. For example, “I didn’t know/realize that…”, “I always thought that….”, “I was surprised to learn/find out that….” or “I assumed that…”. You might not have used those exact terms, but this should help you understand how these thoughts might be expressed.

· Compile these statements into the template below. Just paste the sentences with these types of reflections – not the whole assignment!

· Put NA if you do not have a relevant reflection for a certain week. I would not expect that you would have one every week. I have only listed the week’s when there were relevant assignments. You can copy just the sentences that contained these reflections. You also may take a screenshot and paste that in. There is no need to edit these previous writings in any way – just copy and paste into the template.

· You may write new reflection statements if you can’t find anything relevant, but I would encourage you to use your previous assignments and not take this option.

· Then write a 500 word reflection on how your understanding of human development has changed throughout this course. Were any of your previous assumptions changed or challenged? What are the big takeaways you learned? This reflection should follow the above writing guidelines and should include direct APA citations to course content or readings.
