Thesis & Subtopics
Directions: Read the directions for this assignment, so you meet the criteria. You’ll need to develop a solid thesis statement. The thesis statement is the last sentence of your introduction. A thesis statement is not your opinion or a matter of fact, it is a clear and concise statement (argument) that you support in your paper ( see example thesis statements ). Use the thesis generator to help develop your thesis statement. You need to create 3-5 subtopics based on the research you have done. This is the body of your research. Replace the subtopic headings below with your subtopic labels. For example, a student studying the effects of overtime on nursing staff burnout might have collected research that leads to three subtopics: Statistics of Nursing Overtime, Causes of Nursing Burnout, and Psychological Effects of Burnout. Fully develop these sections. Delete these instructions before you save and submit your work.
Provide a brief introduction identifying your topic area, your two disciplines, and a working thesis statement on the position you are taking in this project. Your thesis statement must be clear and is usually the last sentence of your introduction.
