John has been in this position for one year. He has shown an ability to grasp the accounting aspects of the position and has generally completed required tasks in a satisfactory manner. However, appropriate task accomplishment in direct reports is lacking. Goals that involve his team are falling behind expected results, such as late payments to vendors. High absenteeism is noted in the department. In addition, reports have been made of John showing bias toward certain employees in distributing work assignments and allowing time off. A performance management plan is needed. |
