Assignment: By Air or Sea Case Assignment

Selecting between shipping some major equipment by air or sea poses a significant problem for Cosway-Poplar. Conventional wisdom provided by the logistics specialist seems appropriate enough, but in this case, you are asked to do the following:

1. What analysis processes does Cosway-Poplar need to apply in order to arrive at the most appropriate modal selection decision?

2. Provide a quantitative solution (hint: develop this as an Excel file).

3. What is your recommendation? Are there any compelling arguments that may tend to override the quantitative solution?

Assignment Guidelines: 

· Max of two pages, single-spaced (not smaller than 11-point font), plus not more than two pages of charts, tables, or figures.

· Citations can be listed on a separate page and NOT included in the page count.

· A title page is not necessary, but be certain to give the file a unique name that identifies your team.
