Bus Week 8 DQR

Deron Hanson

Hello class,

One of the most crucial lessons I took away from this class was prioritizing my responsibilities and managing my time. Another great takeaway was the importance of teamwork and communication in the business world.

I discovered that it's crucial to make a to-do list and then rank the items on it according to importance. I have discovered the value of taking breaks and setting aside time for me to unwind and refresh. By making a daily or weekly to-do list and then prioritizing my chores, I can apply these ideas to my profession and complete the most crucial tasks first. Additionally, I may plan breaks for myself to prevent stress and overwhelm. Other significant ideas I learned in this course include:

- How to set and accomplish goals

- How to control stress and maintain good health

- Effective communication techniques

- Relationship and networking skills

- Critical thinking and problem-solving techniques

All of these ideas are crucial for success in any line of work and can benefit me. The idea of working together effectively can be taken away from this course. Learning how to collaborate well with others in a professional environment is a skill that may be applied in a wide variety of fields. The capacity to collaborate effectively can contribute to the advancement of any professional endeavor, whether collaborating on a project with a group or simply speaking with other employees at one's workplace. In the business world, this almost always entails participating in several projects as a group member. This is because every member of the team brings a unique set of capabilities and areas of expertise to the table, everyone must be able to collaborate effectively to complete the task at hand.

I am working towards my Associate in Business Administration. I only have three classes left to complete. The courses that I am starting next month are BUSN235 and MKTG201.

Good luck everyone!

Good morning class,

The last 8 weeks flew by really quickly. I guess that happens when you're having fun. My greatest takeaway from this class was that having a business requires a lot of work however it is rewarding to not just for yourself but everyone around you as well. A successful business means that not only you succeeded but your employees, community, and maybe the world benefited in your product or service that helped in some way. This class provided the foundation for me to succeed in my business when I'm ready to start my own company.

From the very beginning, the importance of ethics in business decision-making set the tone for the next 8 weeks. It made me take a long look at myself and question if I was ethical to be successful in starting my own business. Learning about the importance of the environment at work, organizational structures, and management in week 3 was very informative. You need the right people around you and listening to your employees is important in order to be successful. In today's world, technology will help you and can hurt your company as well. Hackers can hack into your data systems and take information as ransom. This can be very damaging if you don't take the right precautions to protect your IT systems. I learned each week in this class and these were just some examples.

I will continue along my academic plan for my degree in business. This class along with others I've taken have given me tools to be successful in my professional and personal life. I want to thank the class and professor for helping me grow. Good luck in all your future endeavors!
