Executive summary

Riyadh vegan food store is a small university food store that will be serving healthy vegetables. The food store will be located at the university campus in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We are aligned with the university management, which has allowed us to open the store on the university premises to promote healthy living. This grand plan is to respond to the growing demand for vegan food in the university as many students have discovered the importance of healthy living, and they are on a mission to accomplish it. The university is also the ground with the most significant number of diverse people. It will attract not only Muslims but also other students from different countries who have joined the university and looking for an excellent place to buy their food.

We have been able to secure a 40,000sq .ft. of the food store as required by the Saudi Arabia law. We have located the store in the school shopping Centre. The area is the best strategic position in the school because most students meet and shop in this area. It is the most convenient area, also because the next food store is 15 minutes away.

Our most significant intention of opening the store is to promote and educate the students on healthy living. We want to give the student a chance to choose on a variety of vegetables that will boost their way their body immunity and will give them a chance to learn how to take care of their bodies as early as they are in their 20s. We also intend to make a profit from all this hard work.

We know that a vegan restaurant is not one of the best business ideas to start in a Muslim community who is not so easily converted to a trend and may think of it as a 'white thing.' We have done our due diligence and spend our time and resources on conducting future studies on the market trend. It is the main reason that we choose to open the business in the university because at least the students are open-minded are and willing to try something new.

Customers are the main reasons any business is opened. We intend to offer the best customer services and bring in products with the customers in mind. We will go an extra mind to ensure that the customers are satisfied with our services. We will also ensure that we have various payment options. We want to be more than a food store, a brand that brings the market to its customers.

MARKET AND SALES STRATEGY

The student community lectures and the workers within the university are the targeted markets. The school doesn't have any other food store. The nearest good store is a 15-minute walk away outside the university premises, making the university premises the best location for the store to be located. The store is also in the best location because the community surrounding it is diverse and so we are not worried that the culture issues will affect the sales of the shop

Our market segmentation includes the students, university staff, and the lecturers who live within or outside the school. The students are our primary focus. The store is a 3-minute walk from their hostels. It will make it the closest food store they have. The other food store is a fifteen-minute walk outside the school premises. We also intend to stock the store with student-friendly vegan food. The university staff and their families are our other market target .most of the staff live within the school in the staff quarters, so the distance is also convenient for them. Finally, the lectures within the school compound during the day and most of them live near the school premises.

Our marketing strategy has a grand opening that will be well advertised across the university and its surroundings through the use of flyers and social media. The grand opening day will be filled with live music and a lot of food. We also intend to invite representatives from each of the brands we will stock in the store to educate, give samples, and inform the people present on the day on their brand's importance. We will also give away 20% discount coupons for the students to shop, and this will continue for the rest of the month.

Riyadh food vegan store will participate in uplifting the community by contributing to the charitable events. Being part of community events like religious events and children parties, educational fairs that will benefit the local community.

The competitive edge of the food store is its location, which is strategic and will lead to traffic flow in the store leading to good sales, which is the goal. The community also is a competitive edge that we fully intend to focus on. We will invest in the community by educating them on the importance of healthy living. We will also try to be part of it and respect their boundaries. Finally, we will stock the store with goods that are community-friendly.

We also intend to do a lot of advertising in the community using magazines, putting flyers all over the school and the neighboring community, and, most importantly, social media where we know that we will get most students' attention because that is where they spend most of their time.

Our sales strategy is simple: filling the store with enough stock and having the best customer services available. By the end of one year, we will have reached and educated as many people as possible, and the store will have doubled the foot traffic we except at the beginning of the first month.
