Crisis Management

Crisis  management  is  intended  to  anticipate  the  possibility  of  a  crisis  and  be  prepared  to   respond  effectively  if  one  develops.    The  most  important  component  of  crisis  management  is   avoidance;  that  is,  reducing  the  probability  that  a  crisis  will  occur.    Another  important   component  of  crisis  management  is  effective  communication,  should  a  crisis  occur.    Effective   communication  can  involve  acceptance  of  responsibility,  an  apology  to  those  affected,   expression  of  concern  for  those  affected,  and  assurance  that  the  problem  is  being  addressed   and  will  not  reoccur. Research  Chipotle  on  its  own  Website,  the  public  filings  on  the  Securities  and  Exchange   Commission  EDGAR  database  (http://www.sec.gov/edgar.shtml),  in  the  University's  online   databases,  and  any  other  sources  you  can  find.     Write a 2 page paper in which you: 1) Identify  the  primary  issues  (crisis)  facing  Chipotle.    Should  Chipotle  have  been  able  to
