The word “statistics” comes from Latin word “statista” which is known “states man”or “politican” in

history. It was used by rulers and kings as a method to understand their current situation and develop

strategies. In 17th Century “statistics” used as a principle of understanding political science for a

long time. Beginning of 19th Century William S Gosset developed the methods for decision making based

on small sets of data.1 After William S Gosset statistics continued to develope gradually. Althought there are

two types of statistics methods (old statistics and modern statistics) old statistics is using as a part of modern

statistics.
