Please write a paper of approximately 750 words (around 3 typed, double-spaced pages in a standard, 12-point font) responding to ONE of the following prompts. (A few words over or under 750 words is fine; a whole paragraph might be more of an issue.) Don’t put any identifying information anywhere on your paper as I prefer to grade with student names hidden (don’t worry; if you are logged in to Canvas, Canvas will know it’s you!). Make sure to submit well before the deadline to avoid any technical issues; contact IT if you experience any technical problems. 

1. Are public school teachers morally justified in going on strike for better wages and increases in funding for schools, in spite of the disruption caused? Why or why not, and based on what moral principles?

2. Do businesses have social responsibilities beyond making a profit and abiding by applicable laws? Discuss at least one example in your answer.
