Elevator Pitch (100 words): Ford Motor Company recently initiated a renovation project to re-establish the now-crumbling Central Michigan Station. The company intends to re-establish the station by transforming it into a 1.2 million-square-foot innovation hub. Ford Motor Company estimates that the project will cost $ 740 million dollars. The company acquired the station in 2018 and started initiated the project which is scheduled for completion in 2023. The station was for a long time the symbol of Detroit’s vibrancy. The project is meant to attract investments in the City of Detroit and influence an economic recovery that has been anticipated since the city declared bankruptcy in 2013.
